Remembrance Day Centenary 2018

This Sunday, on the 11th day of the 11th Month marks 100 years, since the soldiers put down their weapons and stopped fighting. This afternoon, we remembered all the soldiers that died, saving our country, in World War 1. We wore red to resemble the poppies that grew on the battlefields after the war.

In memory, the whole school marched 1 mile around Norton, wearing the name of a fallen soldier, this was to remember the individuals who gave up their tomorrow for our today. Some of the soldiers who signed up were as young as 18 and some did not return. We were proud of these soldiers and wore their names with pride! Some of us even realised we shared a last name with a soldier who fought 100 years ago.
